Mid Atlantic Genealogy offers a wide range of services. It can be as simple as retrieving an artifact from an archive or history center. Maybe you'd like a photo of an old homestead?  We can help you start and build your tree, and figure out a software program that works for you. We can help validate information you have already found. We can do ‘just a little or a lot’ to help you get to where you want to be.

We offer many different types of services at varying levels of involvement, leaving you in the driver's seat.

Our service area focuses on the Mid-Atlantic, including New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, and Pennsylvania,  where we can access all the local records from some of the earliest time periods of American history.

These areas are broken out into zones and help us categorize travel times and travel costs if necessary.

We provide many services in the following areas
Just a little help
A Leaf

Just a little help!

A cemetery or homestead pic? A Leaf is a simple, once and done service, such as artifact retrieval or a site search. It might take a couple of hours, depending upon the location. Perhaps you have run into a situation where you live in California but you know the record you need is situated at an archive or a historical society in the Mid Atlantic. You don't really need someone to do research for you, you just need a person who understands genealogy and can go get you your record!

A Branch

Between a lot and a little!

Need help starting a tree? Perhaps validating data when you have 5 James Smiths? A Branch is a little more involved and can be more complicated.  It focuses on one family group at a time. It usually comes into play when you have run into problems. You've started your tree, and perhaps have gotten through a couple of generations, but have now hit a road block. You're not sure what you need or where to go next. We can help with creating search plans (like a roadmap) to help you reach your goal.

A Tree

A lot of help!

You love the intrigue of family histories and family trees. You want one, but have no idea on how or where to start, or you simply don't have the time to do it yourself. Tree level services involve starting a new family tree and working it through to completion. This level service is more involved, more time consuming, and more long term.
